For those lucky enough to get a ticket for this years eagerly anticipated outdoor cinema event at The Piece Hall, Halifax were treated to an array of popular cinema greats. The historic Grade I Listed building became an outdoor cinema for four days. With the stunning backdrop of the spire, its clean recent facelift and the ability to comfortably fit over 1000 people in its self contained courtyard made this event a work of art.
The Film Lineup
Day 1. Brassed Off, which featured a scene that was filmed at The Piece Hall back in the 1990s.
Day 3. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga featured in A Star is Born.
Day4. Queen rocked Halifax during a screening of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Urban Entertainment were asked to provide our huge 40ft x 20ft AIRSCREEN cinema screen and one of our impressive Christie 13,500 ANSI lumen Laser projectors. our AV kit which was housed to the side of the screen in a marquee, contained a Mac for on screen presentations, a professional scaler switcher, blu-ray players and audio control.
